Accounts Assistant

We are seeking a full/part-time ‘Accounts Administrator’ to help us better manage key elements of our business. This position is offered as a combination of both office and home-working, we are based in Fyfield, Oxfordshire and a successful candidate will, ideally, need to live close to this area (within a 30-minute drive). The role is a minimum of 22.5 hours per week and the hours can be tailored accordingly. Full IT training and office equipment will be provided.
Key duties to include:
Accounts Receivable (sales ledger/debtors)
- Raising invoices, credit notes
- Posting monies received
- Dealing with customer queries via the telephone and email
- Ensuring all customer information is up to date
- Managing the debtors, including sending regular statements and reminders
- Set-up and credit checking for all prospects and existing clients
Accounts Payable (purchase ledger/creditors)
- Setting up new creditor accounts
- Posting invoices and credits
- Setting up payments (for approval)
- Dealing with supplier queries via the telephone and email
General Ledger (nominal ledger)
- Preparing monthly management accounts
- Posting journals and setting up, where necessary, recurring journals
The perfect candidate will maintain high standards of customer service by anticipating, understanding and fulfilling client's needs and responding promptly to their queries and concerns. A good attention to detail and excellent organisational skills are essential and you must be a hardworking and well-motivated individual.
You must have a minimum of 2 years accounts experience, including working with Sage 50 or Dynamics, ideally, you will also be proficient in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook, and training is available.
Full or part-time, flexible working from home and office, Part-time hours, minimum 22.5 per week, can be tailored to school hours/holidays.
